Farmgirl Gourmet turns 20 Today! 🎂🎉

WOW! I cannot believe that Farmgirl Gourmet turns 20 years old today. I can still remember the day I hit publish on the first post - it was just a simple "welcome to my farm", no recipe at all, just a grainy pic of my farmhouse.

Back then, FG was a way to share our farming journey with family and friends and didn't become a recipe hub until 2010, when I quit selling real estate to figure out what I wanted to do with myself. I spent the winter figuring out how to take food pics and learned that I loved writing. The blog grew quickly and became a resource for home cooks to find quick and tasty recipes.

A lot has changed in 20 years. Not only did I take 10 years off to go build a spice company, but food blogging in general has become a full blown business opportunity. I still love it just as much as I did on October 8th, 2006. If you're an FG OG, thank you for sticking with me all these years. If you're new - I am so grateful you're here.

To 20 more 🥂

SHOP FALL BAKING FAVES

Baker's Cinnamon

Ground cinnamon comes in a few varieties, but my fave for fall baking is Cassia or Korintje cinnamon (often called baker's cinnamon)

Vanilla Bean Paste

Interchangeable with vanilla extract, vanilla bean paste is my go-to for all things baking.
